University Putra Malaysia's New Sports Stadium Officially Opened: International-Standard Facilities Support Student-Athletes' Development

University Putra Malaysia (UPM) officially took over a fully upgraded new sports stadium on June 19, 2025. The stadium was renovated in strict accordance with international standards, aiming to provide students with a safer and more comfortable environment for sports training and activities.

This upgrade project is part of the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP), focusing on renovating the stadium's infrastructure, which has been in use for nearly 20 years. The renovation includes comprehensive optimization of the track surface, sports facilities, and equipment to ensure compliance with international standards and professional certification.

UPM President Dato' Prof. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah stated at the handover ceremony: “This upgrade not only enhances the overall value of the stadium but also ensures the safety and comfort of its users, particularly students actively engaged in sports and extracurricular activities.”
